There are some great books to help you with your budget planning. David Ramsey has one that is great called Financial Peace Planning that walks you through the process of creating a budget and a spending plan.
I think this is a great peace of literature because it also teaches you about balance between your spirituality, family, and the physical. Amazon.com is a great place to shop for the reading material that you need to help you with your financial plan. I have also found a great product by David Bach that is an excellent tool to help you protect your money by not allowing businesses to take it away from you by charging unecessary fees. You can find information about: Budgets, Stocks, Options, 401K, Retirement and many other subjects. When I started out I couldn't afford to go to college so I had to figure out an affordable alternative. My mother told me that everything I needed to know was documented somewhere so the best advice I can give you is to read and continue to learn to gain the knowledge you need to be successful. I made it a point to follow her advice so I constantly read to learn about the things I was dealing with in my personal and financial life. Fortunately for me I did find a job that provided financial assistance for college so I did eventually get my degree. However, by the time I got my degree I was a Vice President in a fortune 500 company because I constantly read material about management and took business management classes. I simply made myself the most qualified for the jobs that I wanted.
