How Do I Start My Own Website?

Wondering what it would be like to have your own website but don't know where to start? Boy do I understand because I too wanted to have my own website. I have always had a passion for financial planning and investment so I studied everything I could find to try to learn as much as I could. One of the things I learned was that there is a lot of books available but so many of them are nothing more than a sales pitch for their product. I have always wanted to create a website that would help people without trying to sell them on a specific product. My wife was always telling me I should write a book about how I built my career from a stock clerk to a Vice President of a $60 billion dollar company. I felt intimidated by the thought of writing and then figuring out how to publish a book so I thought let me create a website so I can tell my story and I can help people plan their financial future.

Now I had a new problem because I didn't know how to get my thoughts on a web page nor did I even know where to start. So again I started reading but it was too confusing for me so I went on Ebay and bought a credit repair website for $19.95. I thought this will be good because at least I can help people repair their credit and then I could build from there. Well that didn't work out to good because I didn't know enough to make adjustments to the site. I tried to ask the guy who sold it to me to help me but he said he could only do it if I paid him. needless to say I didn't want to pay him what it would cost for me to build a site and continually keep it updated so I kept looking and reading. I bought a couple more sites and through trial and error I started to learn some things but still not enought to build a site from scratch.

I Need Help Building A Website But I'm Having Trouble Finding Help Online

I typed into the search I need help building a business website and got nothing. I read about a program called Dreamweaver but didn't understand how to use it. I started looking for some kind of template that I could use because I had no idea how to create graphics, forms or do anything to make a website look good. I thought man it would be great if there was some type of tutorial program that could walk me through how to create a website. I really started to get frustrated because I didn't want to become a programmer I simply wanted to be able to document my experiences and ideas and have them show up on my own website so other people can read and learn from my experiences.

I continued to read and search because I knew there had to be a compnay out there that would help me build my own website at a reasonable price, that provided tutoring and was easy to use so I could focus on getting my thoughts recorded. As you can see I did find a way to get my website done because if you are reading this you are reading it on my website.
